The Neurodiversity Affirmative Therapist
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Accreditation provides a quality standard for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK, signifying high levels of expertise, experience, and ethical practice (a bit like a kite mark). It acts as a benchmark for competence, often required by employers like the NHS, and confirms a practitioner has completed extensive training and supervised practice. In addition to BACP accreditation, I hold the following qualifications:
· Master of Arts Degree (MA) in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice
. EMDR Training - Qualified in all parts
· CPCAB Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision
. CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
· CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
· CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
· CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
. Award in Education and Training – teaching qualification.
. Open University training in working in a Trauma Informed way
Contuning Professional Development in 2025 included a 3-day conference at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts on Psychiatry and Mental Health, and Harvard's one day course in Current Practice in ADHD - Meet the Experts.
